Een documentaire van hun tocht langs de grens van de gemeente Maastricht. De foto’s geven een interessant beeld van de groene stola die om Maastricht heen gedrapeerd is. Het buitengebied, zo constateerden zij, wordt gebruikt voor recreatie, sport en ontspanning, land- en tuinbouw, wijngaarden en het illegaal dumpen van afval. Vanuit het buitengebied keken ze ook naar Maastricht en legden de stad rondom vast. Als ijkpunten werden daarbij de toren van de Sint Janskerk op het Vrijthof gebruikt en de toren van de Enci. Ook beklommen zij de Sint Jan om vanuit dit hoge standpunt omgekeerd de buitengebieden van de stad vast te leggen. Daar waar de grens wordt gevormd door de Maas verkenden ze dat deel per boot en paar kano. Om de grens te kunnen documenteren wandelden Janssen en Vogelaar een paar weken letterlijk langs de stadsgrens, tot op de tiende meter nauwkeurig. Zij gebruikten daartoe een speciale kaart van de gemeente Maastricht in combinatie met google maps.

A documentary of their journey along the border of the municipality of Maastricht. The photos give an interesting picture of the green stole that is draped around Maastricht. The outside area, they found, is used for recreation, sport and relaxation, agriculture, vineyards and the illegal dumping of waste. They also looked at Maastricht from the countryside and recorded the city around. The tower of the Sint Janskerk on the Vrijthof and the tower of the Enci were used as benchmarks. They also climbed the Sint Jan to capture the outer areas of the city from this high vantage point. Where the border is formed by the Maas, they explored that part by boat and a few canoes. In order to be able to document the border, Janssen and Vogelaar literally walked for a few weeks along the city border, accurate to the tenth of a meter. They used a special map of the municipality of Maastricht in combination with google maps.
